The Vasthi PM 10 and PM 2.5 Particulate Matter Monitors work The Principle of Particulate Matter 10 Analyzer uses the following technology: Ambient particulate matter, beta-ray detector for measuring the concentration of particulate matter whose aerodynamic equivalent diameter is smaller than 2.5/10 m on rolled filter tape The instrument uses low-radiation C14 as the radioactive source. The emitted ray passes through the filter membrane with contaminants and will be received by the detector. The detector [1] is composed of a photomultiplier tube (or Geiger detector), a plastic scintillator, and a counter. The thickness can be analyzed quantificational according to β-ray energy that the detector received, and then the PM 10 and PM 2.5 concentrations in the air can be calculated received, and then the pm 2.5 and pm 10 concentrations in the air can be calculated.
The V-air 9009 series operates using Beta Attenuation Technology.
Beta ray Attenuation Monitoring (BAM) technology.
Usually, in European states, pollution levels are very low, so they collect the sample continuously for 40 minutes at 16.5 liters/minute and make an average. For Indian conditions, we can measure as per user requirements, time, or pollution possibilities.
45 days @ 1 hour per sample.
