PM 10 and PM 2.5 (CAAQMS)

PM 10 and PM 2.5

The Vasthi PM 10 and PM 2.5 Particulate Matter Monitors work The Principle of Particulate Matter 10 Analyzer uses the following technology: Ambient particulate matter, beta-ray detector for measuring the concentration of particulate matter whose aerodynamic equivalent diameter is smaller than 2.5/10 m on rolled filter tape The instrument uses low-radiation C14 as the radioactive source. The emitted ray passes through the filter membrane with contaminants and will be received by the detector. The detector [1] is composed of a photomultiplier tube (or Geiger detector), a plastic scintillator, and a counter. The thickness can be analyzed quantificational according to β-ray energy that the detector received, and then the PM 10 and PM 2.5 concentrations in the air can be calculated received, and then the pm 2.5 and pm 10 concentrations in the air can be calculated.  PM10 Airquality

US EPA  CERTIFIED  Particulate Matter 10 (PM10)

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sets standards for various air pollutants, including particulate matter with a diameter of 10 micrometers or less (PM10). PM10 refers to inhalable particles, and the EPA has established National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) to limit the concentration of PM10 in the air to protect public health and the environment. US EPA PM10

To be considered "US EPA certified" for PM10, air quality monitoring instruments and measurement methods must adhere to specific criteria and standards set by the EPA. This typically involves using equipment that meets the EPA's requirements for accuracy, precision, and reliability in measuring PM10 concentrations in the air.

Air quality monitoring stations across the United States use EPA-approved methods and instruments to regularly measure ambient concentrations of various air pollutants, including PM10. The data collected from these stations are used to assess compliance with air quality standards and to develop strategies for air quality management and improvement

If you are specifically interested in a product or instrument that claims to be "US EPA certified" for PM10, it's important to verify that the product meets the EPA's specifications and requirements for accurate and reliable PM10 measurements. This information can usually be found in the product documentation or specifications provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, regulatory bodies and environmental agencies may have specific requirements for the use of monitoring equipment in compliance with air quality standards

What is the working Principle of the V-air 9009 series?

The V-air 9009 series operates using Beta Attenuation Technology.

What is the National Standard & UE EPA approved / compliance Technology for measuring Particulate Matter?

Beta ray Attenuation Monitoring (BAM) technology.

How much time does it take for one measurement?

Usually, in European states, pollution levels are very low, so they collect the sample continuously for 40 minutes at 16.5 liters/minute and make an average. For Indian conditions, we can measure as per user requirements, time, or pollution possibilities.

How frequently do we need to change the filter tap?

45 days @ 1 hour per sample.
